The programme of works commenced in June and was completed by the end of September. Cabbola successfully opened all of the outlets on time and within budget.
Timescale:
The allocated timescale for the project was an eight week shut down period. The project was successfully completed one week early and on budget.
Project Development:
Through a signing off procedure for the designs with the University and Operator, Cabbola were able to tender the various packages to sub-contractors and make tender evaluations to ensure value for money.
Once this process had been completed the sub-contractors were appointed and the fit-out of the ground floor areas could begin.

Scope of works:
Cabbola was commissioned by the Catering Operator to design and build the ground floor area. The requirements were to provide the following facilities from a bare shell:
- CDM Management of fit-out contractors
- Design responsibility of facility
- Management of installation
- Management of final accounts
- Design and install hot and cold food counters
- Installation of all catering equipment
- Detailed construction drawings
- Site liaison with main contractor, University and operator
